Dania Rajendra has a day job in social justice, occasionally adjuncts in academia, and fits a writing life in the spaces those commitments afford. A poet and essayist, Dania’s writing showcases and fosters solidarity across many kinds of difference. A native New Yorker, she has lived in the Upper Midwest, the Deep South, and now lives in Queens. She is a frequent speaker on racism, antisemitism, economic (in)justice and the political right. The immediate past chair of the board of Political Research Associates, Dania sits on the board of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and on the advisory council of the Food Chain Workers Alliance, among others. But mostly she really, really likes to talk about Jell-O.
